Our first Thanksgiving as a family of three was so special to us with Canaan being only a few weeks old. We spent it at my parents house and Carl's mom's, making for a really low key and enjoyable weekend. Canaan slept most of the time and snuggled up with a lot of family. His cousins were fighting colds so we kept him away from them and everyone washed their hands a lot since it was flu season. Hopefully our next babe will be born sometime between Spring and Fall, so we can take it easy with the hand washing, ha!

My sister, Tessa and her hubs Taylor got married in September and found out they were expecting a week after Canaan was born. It was a huge surprise to them but they embraced the excitement and surprised the family with a cute slide show to announce the pregnancy on Thanksgiving Day. I was the only one who already knew (and Carl of course) so I was prepared and snapped a few photos while they showed the slide show. My parent's reactions were so sweet and definitely had me in tears.
We really soaked up our time with family and enjoyed watching everyone obsess over Canes.
My boys are my world. I thank God for blessing me with them every single day. He knew how much I needed them and how much they complete me. I am forever grateful for the gift of my family and the blessings that God so graciously gives.
