PB&J's, afternoon walks, & little chicklets

Today hubs and I ate lunch together when he got home from shooting photos at the beach and before he left again to go shoot at a different beach. We decided to make PB&J paninis! They were delish...apparently we are lovin' our panini grill lately because we used it last night to make chicken ranch sandwiches. We both agreed that today's lunch was better than last night's dinner.

After working for hours on the computer, I played with this little guy outside as I prepared to take him on a run (a walk is more like it).

It has been a long time since I worked out consistently, meaning more than twice a month. I thought if I purchased some new running shoes that it would inspire me to exercise more.

They definitely inspire me to work out, after all, they are "Easy Tones" by Reebok and are supposed to tone your legs while you walk. Well, that is just it, I walk. I wanted to start running but every time at the 5 minute mark I am out of breath and my throat begins to hurt so for now I'll stick to walking and a few minutes of running every now and then. Maybe it just takes some practice.

Carl drove up as Koby and I were preparing to take a walk, we were really happy :) and if you look closely he is a happy camper too (I was taking the above photo of my shoes as he pulled up so maybe he was more like, laughing at me). Unfortunately hubs was way too tired to attempt a run due to his early morning and late afternoon...next time. I decided to leave Koby at home with his pops because he doesn't walk as good for me (I'm pretty sure he is stronger than I am and takes me for the walk). Family walks are so much more fun!

We discovered that little tiny birdies are living in a nest above our front door in the hedge but we could only hear them, it was far too difficult to find them with all of the branches, greenery and flowers up there. Just as I was about to leave for my run/walk (whatever I am calling it these days), we watched the mama bird swoop down into the hedge to feed her little chicks. So sweet. As I searched to find the nest (I could hear them chirping the entire time), I figured I'd grab a quick photo of my favorite wind chime that Carl got me on one of his surf trips. I'm sad that I didn't get to see the little chickies but I probably would have scared them away with my huge camera so maybe it is for the better.

So funny, I spent my day shooting pictures on 1.2 around the house. Looks like you may have been doing the same thing ;) xo
