Christ-mas

Christmas is always my favorite time of the year and this year was no exception. I love everything about it! The Christmas story of our Savior's birth, time with family and friends, lights on the tree, candy canes, cookies, hot cocoa, candlelit nights, time off of work with my hubs, snow (well...after a long drive), and so much more.

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents after church and drove around to look at lights. My Nana and cousins came by and we ate yummy soups made by my mom, she's the best at making different kinds of soup. We spent the night at my parents and after we finished opening presents we headed off to Carl's mom's to spend time with family and then went back over to my parents and then to Carl's dad's for a little bit. It was a busy day but having amazing families makes the hopping around not so bad.

Christmas always helps me reflect on my relationship with God and set new goals for the following year to focus more on Him. I am so thankful for God's gift of His son and His grace. I am in awe of His beauty.
