Yes....we are alive!

This family blog has been so hard to keep up, so this is my final attempt to start blogging. We have been insanely busy with Carl's new job at Oakley, my busy month of photo shoots and editing and just being a family with our doggy in our cute little house. We recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary which couldn't have been more perfect. Carl planned the entire thing, leaving me with a handful of surprises- my FAVORITE! We drove for four hours before we arrived and I found out our destination. We arrived in Avila Beach at a mineral springs spa and resort. Immediately I found out my first two surprises; a private mineral spa for the two of us in the forest and a massage for two. Oh boy did I love my massage! We both almost fell asleep!

The next day I was in for surprise number two and three; wine tasting in Paso Robles and a two night stay at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo! What a blast! We went to six wineries and purchased a bottle at every one and some gifts for our families as well. We met some really hilarious people and even ran into my cousin and aunt at the Madonna hundreds of miles away from home. Crazy! I had the most wonderful time and have the most caring, thoughtful, amazing husband.

I just want to take a moment to list some of the things I love of Carl: -I love that every morning he kisses me on my forehead to say goodbye when I am still asleep
-I love that he goes out of his way to do our laundry
-I love how he massages my neck without me asking when we watch TV on our couch -I love how he tells me I'm beautiful every single day
-I love how supportive he is of my photography and that he is willing to work extra hard to make my dreams come true
-I love that he still opens the car door for me after nine years together
-I love that he researches all of my camera equipment and purchases it for me to make sure that I am using the best equipment for my career
-I love that he loves to surprise me just to see my face light up -I love that he would rather be home doing nothing with me than be anywhere else
-I love so many things about him and have fallen more and more in love with him over the first year of our marriage. I could go on and on about how much I love about him and appreciate him.

Carl, you are my rock.
